AccorHotels is one of the first applications available in France on the “Actions on Google” voice platform, which allows brands to create applications, called “Actions”, for Google's voice assistant.
Informative and non-transactional
The exchange remains purely informative. Phil informs the user by voice, in French, about the facilities available (parking, meeting room, etc.) or about practical information concerning C Level Executive List the chosen hotel (times, address, etc.). However, to book, the user must go to the application or to the AccorHotels.com website.
Since October 26, it has been possible to interact with Phil, the AccorHotels Bot, from the Google Assistant. A simple command – “Ok Google, I want to speak with AccorHotels” – and the conversation can begin on an Android or iOS smartphone, on the Google Home voice-activated connected speaker, or any other compatible device.
Bot Phil is developed by the AccorHotels mobile division and was made public last May on Facebook Messenger. This Bot learned through interactions with customers, and can respond quickly to the Group's more than 4,200 hotel addresses.
Personalized suggestion according to desires
Now equipped with a voice, Phil will soon be able to interact in a more personalized way and, for example, suggest good restaurants among the Group's 3,000 restaurants or find a hotel based on the wishes provided by the user (design hotel, close to the sea, near a golf course, etc.).
The launch of Phil on the Google Assistant is the latest in the services developed by the AccorHotels group over several months to support travelers before, during and after their stay.
“ Phil was built to anticipate the future needs of customers and put digital at the service of their expectations. We are convinced of Phil's strong learning potential, ” assures Soumia Hadjali, Vice President Digital Operations of the AccorHotels group.
Available initially on the Google Assistant in France, Phil will be available next year for Americans, Canadians, English and British.
